Why Top Knots are STILL On Trend!

For a few seasons now, the messy, too-cool-(or busy)-to-get-a-blowout topknot has been the go-to up-do for the hip girls — off-duty models and editors.

If three is a trend, then five—over the course of a mere two days, no less—means a memo must have been sent out to all the social scene fixtures over the weekend, telling them, in this case, to bring back the top knot. But this isn't the old, hastily thrown together post-gym knot: The new version is sleek, styled higher than ever and made for cocktail parties and art gallery openings. In other words, "it's much more complicated," says Guido Palau, who created the most extreme version of the bun backstage at Marc Jacobs' Fall '15 show by blow-drying the hair upside down and forward.

More recently, Christina Milian, Karrueche Tran and Kendall Jenner gave life on the AMA's red carpet, rocking their bold top knots!

I've been known to rock the trend once or twice in my day, I may have to continue it through the holidays, since its still a "thing"! Check out my knots below!
